Welcome to The Coffee Bean Restaurant
The Coffee Bean was established in 1964, we have owned it since 2010. We have worked hard to return it to the thriving community hub it was in the past. We have built a loyal collection of regulars and have many holiday makers who return year after year.
We know people have high demands for the quality of food that is served which is why we cook as much as possible when it is ordered and do not store food in a hot plate. This helps us to maintain good stock control and keep waste low but it does mean our delivery of food is not immediate, it's just as "soon as it's cooked!"
Most of our menu is available in three sizes. We also have a takeaway service which means you can order your food by phone and collect it when you are ready.

Cant believe we've lived in Helston and never been in...
Myself and a friend popped in today as we both fancied a breakfast. I had the large, and my friend had the regular. The portion size is huge! My eyes were definitely bigger than my belly (tho that didn'tstop me from eating it all!) But will say what great value they were. Really tasty too.
Staff were really friendly, and we will definitely be back, and treat ourselves!
Do not be tempted to go to Wetherspoons over the road. Help support local business such as this wonderful place.
My partner and I are loyal Coffee Bean enthusiasts. We've eaten a lot of fry ups and can safely tell you that The Big Breakfast is the epitome of a cafe fry up. Cooked to perfection every single time. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Friendly staff as always. Seated quickly and order taken. We just go there before it got busier but all was running very smoothly.
Breakfast was delicious...all so fresh and tasty. Said it last time that the menu has loads on it so will definitely have lunch next time...we just love our breakfast!
Super friendly staff, well priced and tasty food we had a full English and a sausage and hash brown sandwich. Mine wast on the menu but they were more than happy to accommodate. The ladies working that day were extremely friendly and welcoming. Service was quick and attentive. Highly recommended.
Fantastic Cafe
We were in Helston to visit the nearby museum and just wanted somewhere for lunch and we found this place and glad we did. The service was very friendly and food came out quickly, especially our young kids sandwiches, which came first. Its always hugely appreciated when places bring the kids food out first and as quickly as possible.
We all had sandwiches and the bread was lovely and soft. I had bacon and sausage and very much enjoyed it. My wife and I also went for the cream tea and that was excellent. You could tell the scones are freshly made, they were so soft and moist. Would highly recommend anyone to visit, we will certainly return if we are ever in Helston again.

Becoming a regular favourite
We have been to The Coffee Bean 3 times now and enjoyed every lunch. Generous portions which are fresh and tasty. I am vegetarian and dairy free and those choices are catered for. We eat here before taking our dog for a run and dogs are very welcome in the café. Nice friendly staff, pleasant surroundings and CLEAN toilets too. Nothing to dislike.
I would highly recommend Coffee Bean. Friendly staff, great food and lovely service! Went this morning and had a lovely breakfast with my partner. Great start to the day!

Best recommendation 👍 I love a good English Breakfast and Coffee Bean totally delivered 😍
You might think the big breakfast price is high, and I did too at first until it came out. The portion, quality of food and the lovely service totally deserve the charge!
I also don't normally tip unless the service deserves it. I tipped. They're very trusting leaving the tip bowl full of money out in the open. I love that 🥰 Says a lot about Helston.
Now I'll be going back for their afternoon cream tea 😅
I've had recommendations to try their roast so I'll be trying that too. Oh and I hope their soup I glimpsed is home made as I'd like to try that too ... sucker for great home made soup on cold British day 😍

Had a really lovely meal today. Great friendly service and my burger was really lovely. Impressed by the amount of coleslaw which was very nice. Places often give you a little dollop but this isn't the case here. Highly recommended.

Would recommend the breakfasts and the scones.

Tip.... top..100% on...I eat here often as I only live 3 or 4 shops down. 👌 wishing they were open now this is making me hungry. Il see you in the morning guys xx
